Artist shoots video in Tullamore and Daingean
Who needs Hollywood or exotic beach locations, when a music video can be shot just as well in the bright lights of Tullamore and Daingean. Local musician Wayne Brennan has just finished shooting a music video for his next single in those very towns and fans are dying to see the results. The video is for forthcoming single "Please Please", which is due to be released on February 27 and is the first song taken from his new album "In My Hands". The video was produced by Tullamore-based production company Mixed Bag Media and is directed by Garret Daly. The film crew and cast had to brave the elements of the recent cold snap but the images captured on screen will prove it was all worth it. The cast was made up of a number of local people including Jolene Brennan, Janis Brants, Kathleen O"Reilly, Paddy Brien, Andrew Healy and Kaitlin Daly. 'The song is very dynamic and reflects an artist capable of conquering the charts on every level,' said director Garret Daly. 'I wanted to make a video that marks the beginning of what I hope will be an ongoing and interesting journey for Wayne in the music industry. It was a very cold shoot, but the locations on offer in Offaly are worth it and these images will complement what is a great song.' Mixed Bag Media, based in Tullamore, has produced a number of successful TV and radio series. This month the company is producing "Rental Boys", a short film being produced for RTÉ Storyland, a new web-based series where members of the public will get the opportunity to vote online for their favourite film.
