Charleville Castle to hold late summer charity ball

Charleville Castle is hosting a charity gala evening on September 26 in aid of the Castle Restoration Fund. The event willcomprise a drinks reception followed by an evening of classical music and ball dancing. Music for the evening is by the Slovak Festival Orchestra with lead by world renowned Vladimir Jablokov. The Slovak Festival Orchestra have previously entertained at the National Concert Hall, Marlay Park and Carnegie Hall. Commenting on the upcoming ball, Dudley Stewart of Charleville Castle said: 'We are delighted able to host wonderfully exciting event. It is the first serious fundraiser for Charleville Castle which has been organised by local people who believe in the importance of conserving this wonderful building as a highly important local asset. But it is also a great honour to have the great Vladimir Jablokov perform for in such an intimate venue.We understand that times are difficult right now and money is scarce for a lot of people right now but we sincerely hope people will understand the local importance of the restoration work we are achieving at the castle. The funds we hope to raise by means of this gala evening will continue the restoration of this significant local treasure.'   Tickets for the Late Summer Charleville Ball are priced at €125 each or €200 for two. The ball will be held in the Great Hall of Charleville. This area of the castle has been used as a ball venue in Hollywood movies such as Becoming Jane, North Anger Abbel and Loving.
