Slieve Bloom Photography Club to be launched

The new Slieve Bloom Photography Club will be officially launched on Tuesday July 14 at 8pm in St Mary"s Parish Centre, Tullamore and all photographic enthuasiasts are invited along. Are you passionate about photography? Is it something you have always wanted to explore or have been into for years? Are you into the finer technological details of a digital camera or do you just simply know how to point a click? Whether you are a complete beginner or experienced enthusiast, come along to the launch of the club. The launch will introduce you to what the club hopes to accomplish, where it hopes to go, but most of all it will introduce you to other like-minded enthusiasts. There will also be a talk from Bob Morrisson who is an established photographer of the Mullingar Photography Club. If you like what you hear and want more then you are welcome to become a member. The club had its humble origins in the back room of Dan and Molly"s Pub in Ballyboy. It was started by a group of enthusiasts who met whilst doing a simple photography course. Realising that they shared the same passion for exploring photography, learning more and of course having a "craic" the group formed the club. It is young being only five months old but in such a short space of time it has become apparent that there are many more enthusiasts wanting to get involved. So whether you are into digital, film or black and white, pocket sized or big telescopic cameras, whether you like shooting landscape, portraits, wildlife, or everything the club is open to all adults who wish to learn, explore or impart their own knowledge of photography. Please note the club is currently only open to people over 18years and over. If you cannot make the launch and are interested please ring Clare on 05793 57400 for further details of other meetings.
