HSE asks for help with recycling drive
The HSE is asking people this week to return any HSE medical appliances and aids they no longer need so they can be recycled. The organisation has set up a dedicated day - July 23 - for relevant items to be returned to the Occupational Therapy Store in the MDA Business Park in Irishtown, Mountmellick. Medical equipment including wheelchairs, orthopaedic chairs, profiling beds, hoists, riser recliners, walking frames, bathing equipment, toileting equipment, commodes, air mattresses and nebulisers can all be dropped off on the day between 10am and 4pm. Items received will be cleaned, services and repaired if necessary before being reissued by delegated local health care staff. Anyone with items for return who cannot drop it off on the specified date can contact the Occupational Therapy Store on 057 8644442.
