Protest over repossessions underway in tullamore

Members of the Irish Democratic Party are again staging an anti repossession protest outside the courthouse in Tullamore this morning.

Party chairman and Offaly General Election candidate, Ken Smollen, said there are 57 cases listed in Tullamore today and a total of 324 at eight courts across Ireland.

“We are not going away. We are going to intensify it if anything because this thing has to stop,” Mr Smollen remarked. The protest got underway outside the courthouse at 10.30am.
