Wild Offaly Foragers to feature on RTE tonight

A popular RTE food programme will showcase an Offaly food business tonight (Wednesday, March 25)

Grow Cook Eat, is back for a third series and tonight’s episode, which airs on RTE One at 7.30pm, will feature Sharon Greene from Wild Irish Foragers, who are based in Shinrone.

Using old and almost forgotten recipes, the thriving Offaly food company strives to create "Tastes of the Past" from the handpicked wild bounty. All products are handmade in small batches to ensure they capture that magical taste of a bygone era.

In the second episode of Grow Cook Eat, presenter, Karen O’Donohoe visits the Wild Offaly Foragers business to see what nature is growing by itself - picking blackberries, rosehips and much more, but leaving plenty behind for the birds and bees.

The programme is aimed at helping people with little or no knowledge of growing their own food, but who like the idea of being able to grow something themselves.

Make sure to tune into RTE One television tonight at 7.30pm to pick up a few 'grow your own' tips from the enterprising and innovative team at Wild Offaly Foragers.
