Hooves4Hospice to feature on Ear to the Ground

A regional fundraising drive to raise much-needed funds for a Midlands Hospice is to be the centrepiece of this week's edition of Ear To The Ground, to be broadcast on Thursday, December 17.

As part of the Hooves4Hospice initiative, farmers in the midlands are pulling together to raise funds for the planned Midlands Hospice building fund.

Currently Laois, Offaly, Longford & Westmeath have no level three palliative care hospice.

Ella McSweeney meets some selfless farmers who have rallied together to spread some Christmas spirit by donating and raising animals to generate the much-needed cash.

The programme is broadcast on Thursday, at 8.30pm on RTE One.
