Killeigh community centre committee relaunches 'win a house' fundraising draw

The Killeigh Community Centre Development Association has announced the relaunch of its big fundraising draw, which has the top prize of a new three-bedroom house in Enfield.

First unveiled almost a year ago, in June 2021, the fundraising draw is aiming to help generate the money needed to complete the new community centre planned on the site of the old Macra Hall building in Killeigh.

The committee last year purchased the house in the Royal Oaks estate for the draw. A cash prize of €300,000 is also being offered as an alternative to the house if preferred by the winning ticket holder.

The draw had originally been due to take place in January 2022, but late last year the date for it was changed to December 19, 2022.

Previously branded as 'Win a House in Enfield', the name of the €100-a-ticket draw has also been changed to 'Win a House in Meath'.

The committee said the name change was based on professional advice and it hoped it would attract a wider audience to help ensure the success of the draw. All tickets which were purchased under the 'Win a House in Enfield' name are still valid.

Payne Creative, a Digital Media company run by local woman Hannah Payne, has been engaged "to refresh and revitalise" the fundraising campaign.

The committe said Hannah had come up with some new and innovative ideas to promote the draw, and in the coming months it would be running additional bonus draws with cash prizes, free tickets and a few surprises.

The final draw for the main prize of the House in Royal Oaks, Enfield or €300,000 in cash will take place live on 19 December 2022.
