Holder of €500,000 ticket purchased in Tullamore claims prize

A lucky EuroMillions player who won €500,000 on a Quick Pick ticket purchased at a convenience store in Tullamore claimed their prize at National Lottery headquarters this week.

The winner, who wanted to keep the win private, had purchased the ticket for the June 10 draw at Scally’s Centra on Arden Road.

The Tullamore ticket won the top prize in the EuroMillions Plus draw, which was worth a cool half a million euro.

The prize was collected in Dublin on Wednesday of this week.

Prizes were also collected on the day by a work syndicate from Limerick City which scooped €1 million when it won the Lotto Plus 1 top prize on June 18; and a Kilkenny couple who won the EuroMillions Plus top prize of €500,000 on June 17.
