Double success for SBG Tullamore in Belfast

SBG Tullamore enjoyed fantastic success with two great wins in Belfast last weekend.

Ronan Deegan from Tullamore won a three round bout by unanimous decision against Eoin McDonnell of Fight Academy Ireland. Ronan dominated throughout the three rounds and took the win home to Tullamore.

Andrew Barrett from Ballinasloe, who trains in SBG Tullamore, took on Andrei Strainu, in the amateur featherweight title fight.

Andrew won this three bout fight by decision and took home the featherweight title making him a multiple title holder in Ireland and the UK.

Both of these young men train and coach at SBG Tullamore, with head coach Kieran Davern describing Ronan and Andrew as "a credit to the sport, their families, community and gym".

SBG (Straight Blast Gym) Tullamore is open ten years this August and the team of martial artists, BJJ practitioners and fitness enthusiasts is growing.

Affiliated to SBG Ireland, it provides coaching and classes to suit all ages and abilities in such disciplines and activities as mixed martial arts, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, wrestling and CrossFit.
