Lowry 'back in business' as missing golf clubs turn up just before US tournament

A relieved Shane Lowry posted on social media today that he was "back in business" after his golf clubs, which went missing following a flight out of Dublin airport, turned up just in time for him to play at a tournament in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Missing luggage is something that has affected numerous travellers from Dublin and other airports this summer, and Lowry's situation this week proved that even world-renowned golfers can be affected by it.

The 35-year-old Clara man is set to tee off tomorrow (Thursday) at Wyndham Championship in North Carolina, where he is regarded as one of the favourites along with world number 14 Will Zalatoris.

Yesterday (Tuesday), Lowry posted a message asking Dublin airport to help find his golf clubs and suitcase. Proving that his sense of humour hadn't gone missing, he accompanied the tweet with a clip from Fr Ted.

In a subsequent update a short time later, Lowry said Dublin Airport had been in touch to let him know that the bags were at O'Hare airport in Chicago.

Today, he shared the news that he and his bags had finally been reunited in Greensboro, ahead of what is the final regular season event on the PGA Tour schedule.
