Second person being questioned over Tullamore drug seizure

Gardai said this afternoon (Friday) that one person had been charged, and a second person was being questioned, in connection with a seizure of cocaine and cannabis at two homes in the Tullamore area.

Cocaine and cannabis with a total estimated value of €29,400 was seized following a search, under warrant, of two residential premises in the Tullamore area yesterday (Thursday).

In an update today, Gardai said one person had appeared in court in connection with the seizure, while a second person was currently being detained.

The drug seizure was part of an intelligence-led operation conducted by Revenue's Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau, and the Tullamore Detective Unit.

Herbal cannabis weighing 1.28kgs was recovered during the searches, along with 100 grams of cocaine.
