Ex-Ireland boss to feature at charity event in Tullamore this Friday

The former Ireland international player and manager Steve Staunton, and the double-winning Shelbourne women's team captain Pearl Slattery will be the special guests at a fundraising night in Tullamore this Friday (December 2).

The Tullamore Town Republic Of Ireland Supporters Club (Tullamore RISSC) is organising the event, which will be held upstairs at Fergie's Bar from 9pm.

All proceeds from the night will be going to Accessible Counselling Tullamore and the Robbie Moore Benefit Fund.

A former Liverpool and Aston Villa legend, Steve Staunton amassed over 100 caps as a player for Ireland between 1988 and 2002. He also had a spell managing his country in 2006-2007.

Pearl Slattery is the current captain of the Shelbourne women's team, which had a remarkably successful year, and she has contributed to multiple league and cup-winning sides.

Admission on Friday is €20, and there will be music on the night from Catalpa.

Tickets are available from Fergie's Bar or from committee members John Joyce, Alan Daly, Chloe McGlinchey, Mick Kenaney, Seamus McEvoy, Stephen McEvoy, Andy Lowbridge, Ray Finlay, Dáithí Bryant, Bob Dooner, Kevin Bryant, Conor Keyes, or Gerry Daly.
