Offaly comedian shows support for the Faithful on Countdown set

Comedian Neil Delamere saw a cheeky opportunity to support his native Offaly on the set of Countdown last week.

He posted a selfie of himself posing in front of the iconic Countdown board with 'Uibh Fhaili' spelt out in the background.

He sent his tweet out on Wednesday, May 17, two hours before Offaly faced Wexford in the U20 Leinster hurling final.

"Lads they left me alone with the @C4Countdown board. Couldn't resist," he tweeted.

The Offaly U20s emerged victorious after an impressive display saw them overcome Wexford by 1-21 to 0-22. They have now secured a place for themselves in the All-Ireland final against Munster champions Cork on Saturday, May 27.
