Offaly women on pool team that are World Shootout Champions

Two local women, Katie Kiernan and Mary Duffy-Lowbridge, were part of the Irish Ladies Pool Team that won the WEPF World Team Shootout 2023 on Sunday, July 9.

The WEPF (World Eightball Pool Federation) World Championships took place this month in Agadir in Morocco, where the Irish Ladies Team made history by defeating the host nation 5-2. Ireland are the first champions of this new format.

The Irish Ladies Team were ranked 5th coming into the tournament.

Katie and Mary play for Offaly Ladies Pool and Cue Academy Tullamore.
