ICSA to hold meeting for farmers in Tullamore this week
The Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers' Association (ICSA) will hold an important public meeting in Tullamore this week to discuss a range of topical issues affecting local farmers at the moment.
The meeting takes place on Friday night, November 17, at 7pm in the Offaly Historical Society on Bury Quay, and among the speakers at the event will be Ed Cooper from the Buitelaar Group who will speak about Longhorn Beef.
With an ever-increasing emphasis on more sustainable farming practices and the need to reduce the carbon footprint on farms, Stuart Gee will speak on the Carbon Farming Framerwork, and his address is sure to be of huge interest to local farmers.
Another interesting speaking is Dr. Doug McMillan who will speak about the Peatland Carbon Sequestration, and Richard Marhham who will speak on the topic of Hedge Laying.
