Big Christmas lights Switch-On in Tullamore this weekend

Tullamore Christmas Lights and Markets will kick off the festive season with a weekend full of Christmas activities that promise joy and magic for the entire community.

The Christmas market, set to take place in the heart of Tullamore at O'Connor Square, will span three days, starting on Friday, November 17, from 3 pm to 7 pm, continuing on Saturday, November 18, from 11am to 7pm, and concluding on Sunday, November 19, from 11am to 7pm.

The market will host over 30 exhibitors showcasing a diverse range of artisan foods and crafts and will also feature amusements and a funfair.

The climax of the weekend will be the Big Christmas Lights Switch-On event on Sunday, November 19th, at 6pm on Patrick Street which will see Santa arrive from the North Pole with his trusty elves, ready to illuminate Tullamore with the spirit of Christmas.

The festivities will begin at 5.30pm with a magical parade down William Street and Patrick Street, featuring Cinderella and her crew, stilt walkers, beloved Disney characters, and talented face painters. This promises to be an unforgettable evening, bringing the community together in the true spirit of the holiday season.
