A second male has been arrested in relation to the murder of a man in a Dublin restaurant on Christmas Eve.

Tristan Sherry died after being assaulted and a man in his 40s suffered gunshot wounds during an incident at Browne’s Steakhouse in Blanchardstown at around 8pm on December 24th.

The arrested male is detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda station in west Dublin.

It is the second arrest in the investigation.

Last week, 22-year-old Michael Andercut, with an address in Sheephill Avenue, Corduff, was charged with murder during a special sitting of the Criminal Courts of Justice.

Investigations are ongoing.
