Rahan Comhaltas raises funds for Unicef Gaza appeal
Rahan Comhaltas raised €2,500 for the Unicef Gaza emergency appeal at the annual table quiz in The Thatch on Saturday, December 30.
Rahan Comhaltas would like to say a massive thanks to all the people that were involved in the quiz including the Rahan Hall Committee and volunteers for setting up, sponsors, donors and The Thatch for hosting the event, Jackie Hennessy for questions and Fr Whittaker for being on the mic all night creating a fun atmosphere.
Also a massive thanks to those who won cash prizes and gave the money back, their generosity will make an amazing difference to peoples life’s.
The night was full of fun and held the spirit of giving back to those in need after an amazing Christmas.
Rahan Comhaltas looks forward to entering a new year full of spreading the joy of Irish music and giving back to the community.
Music and dance lessons start back on January 12 in Killina Presentation Secondary School. Set dancing lessons also begin on Thursday, January 18 in Shamrocks GAA rooms, Tullybeg with Norah Carroll at 8:30pm.
