Woman (30s) killed in two-vehicle collision in Tipperary
A woman has been killed in a road collision in Co Tipperary.
The two-vehicle incident happened on the N24 at Kilsheelan at around 10pm on Friday night.
The woman, aged in her 30s, was a passenger in one of the cars involved in the collision, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her body was taken to Waterford University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.
The driver of the car in which the woman was travelling, a man aged in his 40s, and the driver and a passenger from the second car, both males aged in their late teens, were taken to the same hospital for treatment. A female aged in her late teens who was travelling in the second car was taken to Tipperary University Hospital.
Gardaí said their injuries are all understood to be non-life threatening at this time.
The N24 at Kilsheelan has been closed to traffic while forensic examinations are carried out. Local diversions have been put in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses, including those with video/dash-cam footage from the area around the time of the collision, to come forward.
