Manchester United and Ireland legend set for Tullamore event this weekend

Denis Irwin, the former Manchester United star and ex-Ireland international, will be in Offaly this Saturday, April 20, for a promotional event in a Tullamore pub.

The 58-year-old Cork man will be in The Goalpost pub for a 'Carling legends' event linking in with the Emirates FA Cup semi-final between Manchester City and Chelsea. The other semi-final is between Irwin's former club Manchester United and Coventry on Sunday.

Doors open at 3pm, and Irwin will be taking part in a pre-match Q&A with broadcaster Will O'Callaghan.

The event will also feature a Carling beer sampling, food, the FA Cup semi-final on big screens, an opportunity to win a signed Denis Irwin shirt, and a post-match meet and greet with the former player who won numerous trophies during his years playing under Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.

Tickets for Saturday's event are free but must be booked online in advance.

Only 200 tickets are available and it's understood that, at the time of writing, not many still remain. They can be booked here.
