Two men arrested in connection with thefts across Dublin

Two men have been arrested in connection with a number of thefts across Dublin last year.

The arrests relate to 14 separate incidents, including burglary, thefts from vehicles and retail related crime. Power tools estimated to be worth in excess of €40,000 were reported stolen.

The men, one aged in his 50s and the other in his 20s, are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda station in north Dublin.

Investigations are ongoing, gardaí said.
