Minister Hackett welcomes Tullamore Tidy Towns Association to Leinster House

Minister Pippa Hackett recently welcomed members of Tullamore Tidy Towns Association to Leinster House.

Speaking after the visit, Minister Hackett, said: “The members of the Tullamore Tidy Towns Association brought some lovely Offaly sunshine with them and were delighted to share their exciting plans for Tullamore, from new planting plans to reducing litter in the town as well as 'Going for Gold' again this year and their ambitions to win the competition outright in the near future.

"I am very grateful to the group for taking the time out to make the trip to Dublin.

"Our Tidy Towns volunteers do an incredible amount of work keeping our towns and villages looking so well, working tirelessly all year round and I know they are especially busy now in the run up to the judging period.

"I wish all Tidy Towns groups across Offaly the very best of luck in the competition," she concluded.
