Tullamore singer-songwriter to perform at Kaleidoscope Festival next month

Tullamore singer-songwriter Tolü Makay will take to the stage at the Kaleidoscope music festival in Wicklow next month.

The festival will take place in Russborough House, Blessington, from June 28 to June 30.

Tolü is an artist who uses her music as a medium to speak the truth. Nigeria and Ireland blend in Makay’s seasoned vocals, possessing classic soul influences from the likes of the Nigerian/French songwriter Asa, along with familiar tones of home.

Her cover of the Saw Doctors' classic N17 threw her into the limelight back in 2020, and, now well on her way to Irish superstar status, Tolü will bring her powerful vocals and pop grooves to the main stage at Kaleidoscope.

Global music stars The Kooks and The Waterboys headline the festival alongside Cork's Lyra, Dec Pierce’s Block Rockin Beats and King Kong Company, and will be joined by hundreds of family shows, activities and surprises over the three days.

With 20,000 attendees expected at this Kaleidoscope, the full weekend music line-up also features: Irish indie rock band The Academic, breakthrough star Ryan Mack alongside Somebody’s Child, Isaac Butler, Bobbi Arlo, Fia Moon, The Kilo 1977, Dave Lofts & Sand, Saibh Skelly, Queen Bees, Tadhg, The Killéirs, DJ Will Softly, Corner Boy, Anamoe Drive and Kaleidoscope favourites, the Dublin Gospel Choir and Jerry Fish.

Dublin based TikTok sensations The KK Sisters will also make a much-anticipated special appearance at the family camping festival.

Kaleidoscope's festival director Brian McDermott said: "With over 20,000 attendees expected at our fourth festival this June, we are proud to announce that this year’s line-up is our biggest yet at Kaleidoscope.

"Families and friends of all ages can look forward to hundreds of amazing music acts and unrivalled family entertainment across three music stages and over ten family areas.

"Created for families, we have designed the festival to make it as family-friendly as possible including spacious campsites, car parking located beside campsites, campsite quiet time curfew, baby-changing and care areas, family cooking area and sensory and quiet zones."
