Community groups urged to avail of free social media and marketing workshops

Offaly Local Development Company (OLDC), along with the Offaly Volunteer Centre, has strongly urged community groups and small organisations across the county to avail of an upcoming free morning of practical workshops in social media and marketing.

The workshops, which are scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 8 next, in the County Arms Hotel in Birr, will provide participants with the practical tools to improve their social media and marketing skills to enable them to publicise their organisations.

The Communicate and Connect workshops – which take place from 10am to 2pm and include a tea break and lunch – will feature sessions on Plain English and Accessible Communication, facilitated by Tamara Latham, Regional Literary Coordinator at Adult Literary for Life and Social Media Marketing Basics with Melanie Boylan from STOMP Social Media Marketing, who will also guide participants through a module on Using AI.

Booking for this Communicate and Connect course is essential, so if your community group or organisation wants to avail of this free opportunity to learn more about social media, marketing and AI then call Claire on 087 7799 853 or email chall@offalyldc.ie to reserve your space.
