Tipperary got their 2026 campaign underway with a big win.

The All-Ireland hurling champions defeated Galway by five points in their National Hurling League Division 1A clash this evening.

Darragh Stakelum's goal proved vital to give the hosts a hard found win at Semple Stadium.

In football, Donegal just edged out Dublin in their Division 1 clash in Croke Park.

Shea Malone's goal was enough to beat Ger Brennan's side by 1-20 to 0-20.

Meanwhile, a two-pointer from Brian McLoughlin rescued a draw for Kildare in Division 2.

They played out a 1-19 to 2-16 draw away at Tyrone.
