Tullamore Harriers athlete nets four gold and two silver medals!

Tullamore Harriers athlete Olive Mannion had a more competitive Bank Holiday weekend than most people when she competed in not one, but two athletic championships and returned home with a hugely impressive haul of medals.

On Saturday last she she competed in Athlone at the Leinster Masters Track and Field Championships, before travelling on Sunday to Nenagh Olympic Stadium where she guested at the Munster Athletics Masters Indoor Championships.

Olive had a very fruitful day in Nenagh, adding to her already impressive medal haul by winning four gold medals and two silver medals in the Ladies O/60 category.

Her gold medal performances came in:

Shot Put: 6.48 metres

Weight for Distance : 5.45 metres

400m: 1:37

800m: 3:46

She also claimed silver medals in:

60m: 12.07 seconds

200m: 40.38 seconds
