Offaly hurling team named for provincial clash with Galway

Offaly hurling manager Johnny Kelly has named his team for the Leinster senior hurling championship second round game against Galway in Pearse Stadium on Sunday at 3.30pm.

Kelly has made three changes for the contest with Sam Bourke, Ciarán Bourke and Jack Clancy replacing the injured trio of Brecon Kavanagh, Dan Ravenill and Cathal King in the starting line-up.

The Faithful County will be buoyed by a well earned draw against Dublin in their opening provincial fixture on Saturday evening last and will look to bring a collective competitive spirit to the Galway venue this weekend.

The return of captain Charlie Mitchell proved inspirational to the Offaly cause in Glenisk O'Connor Park Tullamore and he will be hoping to have a similar impact on proceedings against Galway.

Galway started their Leinster SHC campaign with a dominant performance and win over the reigning provincial champions Kilkenny.
