Ariana Grande has announced she will release her eighth studio album this summer.

The 32-year-old revealed the news on Tuesday, sharing a photograph of the cover art, a snapshot of the singer smiling, along with its title, Petal.

The upcoming 12-track record will be released on July 31st and comes just over a year after she released Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead.

The news comes ahead of the singer’s The Eternal Sunshine tour, which starts in June with performances scheduled in Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Chicago and Montreal before wrapping up with 10 shows at London’s O2 Arena in August and September.

Little is known about the record, however it follows on from the singer’s big screen appearance in the film adaptation of the musical Wicked alongside Cynthia Erivo and Jonathan Bailey.

Grande played Glinda in the blockbuster, which was split into two films, and won her first Oscar nomination for the best supporting actress category.

The Grammy-award winning pop star rose to fame after starring in the hit Nickelodeon series Victorious and its spin-off Sam And Cat.

She later pivoted into music, with her career taking off in 2013 following the release of her debut album Yours Truly.

Grande has since had seven number one singles in the UK, including for her hits 7 Rings, Thank U, Next, and Positions, as well as five number one UK albums – including her 2024 album Eternal Sunshine.

She also stars in Focker-In-Law, the upcoming fourth instalment of the Meet The Parents franchise, which follows the antics of Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) as he tries to win over his father-in-law, retired CIA operative Jack Byrnes (Robert De Niro).

The film, which is due to be released in November, marks the return of the franchise after 16 years.
