Sponsors evening celebrates 35 years of Tullamore Show
The Tullamore Show & FBD National Livestock Show hosted a highly successful Sponsors Evening at the Old Warehouse, Tullamore on Thursday last, May 21, where sponsors, supporters, committee members, and invited guests gathered for the official launch of the 2026 Show Schedule.
The evening celebrated the continued support of the show’s sponsors, whose contribution plays a key role in ensuring the ongoing success and growth of Ireland’s Premier Show.
The occasion also marked a special milestone as the Tullamore Show & FBD National Livestock Show celebrated 35 years of achievement and development.
Guests were welcomed by Chairman John Keena, who acknowledged the dedication and commitment of sponsors, volunteers, and supporters who continue to help make the Tullamore Show & FBD National Livestock Show one of the highlights of the agricultural calendar.
Mr Keena said: “As we officially launched our 2026 Schedule and celebrate 35 years of the Tullamore Show, we look forward with great excitement to another memorable event in August”.
Pat Gilligan, of FBD Insurance, also addressed those in attendance, speaking about how the show had become "such a significant event" in Ireland's agricultural calendar.
"Over the past 35 years, the show has gone from strength to strength, showcasing the very best of Irish farming, innovation and community spirit.
"We are delighted to play our part in supporting farmers, families and rural communities, and we look forward to another outstanding event this August."
A highlight of the evening was an address by guest speaker, Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht Dara Calleary.
"My department is very happy to support shows across the country, including the Tullamore show, but I know that for a show the size and stature of Tullamore, it needs support from far and wide and that is why recognising the sponsors on a night like tonight is so important," said Minister Calleary.
“People from all over Ireland look forward to the Tullamore show and I want to wish all involved the very best for the weeks and months ahead as the planning progresses for the 35th year of this wonderful show.”
Guests enjoyed food and networking opportunities throughout the evening, with many taking the opportunity to meet other sponsors, and members of the organising committee ahead of the upcoming show season.
The Tullamore Show Committee expressed sincere thanks to all sponsors and supporters for their continued loyalty and commitment, and looked ahead with great anticipation to the Tullamore Show & FBD National Livestock Show 2026, which will take place on Sunday, August 9.
