Assistive technology event to take place in Tullamore

A practical 'assistive technology for learning' course will take place in Tullamore next Thursday, June 11.

The event, designed to introduce simple and accessible technology to support adults with disabilities, neurodivergent learners and parents supporting learning, will be held at Tullamore library (10am to 12noon). Its organisers, Laois-Offaly Education & Training Board, said the event will help support adults and families through 'a friendly and practical session with time for questions'.

The Board said that no previous experience of technology is required to attend.

It added that participants can learn what tools and supports are available and how they work in real life. 'Technology can make learning, reading, writing and communication easier for many people,' the Training Board said.
