Offaly to play Wicklow in Tailteann Cup semi-final
Offaly have been drawn against Wicklow in the semi-final of the Tailteann Cup.
The game will be played in Croke Park on Saturday, June 20, with the Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC) to officially confirm fixture details this afternoon (Monday).
The draw for the semi-final fixtures took place in the Tullamore Court Hotel on Monday morning with GAA President Jarlath Burns and chairperson of the CCCC Brian Carroll presiding over proceedings.
In the second semi-final, Fermanagh will play Down with both fixtures due to be played as a double header in Croke Park.
Offaly secured their place in the competition's semi-final following a five point win over Wexford in Glenisk O'Connor Park Tullamore on Saturday afternoon.
Trailing by five points at half-time, Offaly had the perfect start to the second period, a Jack Bryant goal setting the tone for what was to unfold.
The team gained control of the contest to see off the challenge of their Leinster opponents and claim their third successive win in the competition.
Offaly last reached the Tailteann Cup semi-final in 2022 when they were defeated by eventual winners Westmeath.
