Wendy's to open in Tullamore next Tuesday

Ireland’s second Wendy's restaurant and drive-thru is set to open in Tullamore on Tuesday, June 23, bringing around 60 new jobs to the area.

The new outlet, located at Tullamore Retail Park, just off the N52 ring road and a short drive from both Tullamore town centre and the M6 Dublin–Galway motorway, forms part of the wider expansion partnership between Wendy’s and Irish forecourt operator Corrib Oil.

The opening is a key milestone in the companies’ development agreement, which is expected to deliver more than 300 jobs nationwide through the rollout of 10 Wendy’s locations across Ireland, including standalone restaurants and sites within select Corrib Oil service stations.

The Tullamore restaurant will follow the same menu approach as Wendy’s Irish debut in Cork, focusing on 100% fresh Irish beef and hand-breaded chicken burgers and tenders.

Ingredients are supplied through Irish partners including Kepak and Western Brand. The menu will also include signature items such as square hamburgers, the Frosty dessert, breakfast options, wraps, and kids’ meals.

According to Corrib Oil management, the Tullamore site will bring Wendy’s “signature quality, freshness and hospitality” to the Midlands and represents another step in the brand’s long-term Irish growth strategy.

Wendy’s Europe leadership has also described the expansion as part of its goal to deliver a “globally great, locally loved” experience to Irish customers.

Corrib Oil currently operates 41 convenience stores with forecourts and 20 fuel depots across 17 counties in Ireland.
