Two-night Tullamore run for acclaimed Irish play
An award-winning original Irish play, The Burned Man, will be performed at Tullamore's Esker Arts Centre this Friday and Saturday, June 19 and 20.
The play is being staged by Fomóire Productions, a local independent production company founded by Tullamore native Daniel Murray and Tipperary writer Patrick Fogarty.
Fogarty wrote The Burned Man, which won awards, including 'Best Play', 'Best Actor' and 'Best Director' in the confined section of the Tipperary Drama Festival this year.
The play, set in a cabin in the Slieve Bloom Mountains, is described as "a darkly comic descent into love, guilt, and the fires that make us burn".
It "examines how obsession consumes us, and how even in ruin, we crave connection... A tense, poetic, and darkly funny journey into the human condition, The Burned Man will leave audiences unsettled, moved, and unable to look away from the flames."
The play features acting performances from Seán Doyle, Daniel Murray and Claire Lemass.
It's being staged in Esker Arts at 8pm this Friday and Saturday, and tickets, priced €20 plus booking fee, can be booked online at: eskerarts.ie
