Lowry finishes weather-delayed opening round at US Open

Shane Lowry finished his weather-delayed opening round at the US Open this morning, and is back on course for his second round.

Lowry finished on three over par, 73, having played the final four holes of his opening round this morning.

A birdie on his 17th hole (the 8th) saw him finish his four holes one under par, and sign for a 73.

The Clara man is back on course now to start his second round at the Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in New York.

The overnight leader is Wyndham Clark, on six under.
