Gardai appealing for witnesses following e-scooter collision in Galway

Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a single-vehicle incident involving an e-scooter in Salthill, County Galway, on Friday, July 10.

The collision occurred on the R336 at around 8.30pm outside of the former Spinnaker House Hotel. A man in his 40s was removed from the scene for treatment of serious injuries at the University Hospital Galway.

Forensic Collision Investigators carried out a technical examination of the scene, Gardai are still urging those who may have information to come forward.

In a press release, Gardai said: “Road users who were travelling on the R336 near the former Spinnaker House Hotel (past Blackrock) between 8:15pm and 9:00pm on Friday 10th July 2026 and who may have camera footage (including dash-cam), are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Bóthar na Trá/Salthill Garda Station on 091 514720, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.”
