Alan Hand becomes new President of Tullamore Lions Club
Alan Hand has been elected as the 52nd President of Tullamore Lions Club, succeeding outgoing president Dymphna Bracken.
The official handover took place during the club’s annual changeover meeting at Giltraps of Kinnitty on Tuesday evening, where members gathered to mark the occasion and celebrate the club’s achievements over the past year.
Alan previously served as the vice-president during the 25/26 term.
Paying tribute to the outgoing president, the club thanked Dymphna for her commitment during her term.
“We would like to thank Dymphna for her trojan work in the last 12 months,” the club said in a statement.
“We would also like to wish Alan the very best of luck with his year ahead,” the statement continued.
The club described the handover event as a wonderful evening and expressed its appreciation to Eleanor Clendennen and the staff at Giltraps of Kinnitty for their hospitality and excellent service throughout the event.
