Dunne returns to Formula 2 action in Budapest

Offaly racing driver Alex Dunne will look to improve on his overall standing in the FIA Formula 2 Championship when he returns to competitive action at the Budapest Grand Prix this weekend.

Fresh from a fourth place finish at the feature race in the Spa-Francorchamps Grand Prix on Sunday, Dunne remains fourth in the F2 Championship standings, 53 points behind leader Nikola Tsolov.

The Clonbollogue driver will compete for pole position in the feature race when qualifying starts on Friday morning at 10.05am.

The sprint race takes place on Saturday at 1.15pm, with the main event on the Hungarian track from 10.25am on Sunday.

The Rodin Motorsport driver is looking forward to testing his driving skills on "one of the most technical tracks of the season" this weekend.

"Great to be back in the car for the second week in a row, looking to continue improving our package and maximise the weekends points," Dunne posted on his social media.
