Offaly player collects €80,000 prize at lottery headquarters

A National Lottery player from Offaly has collected a cash windfall of €80,000 after winning the top prize in the Hand to Hand Clash online instant win game.

The substantial cash win marks further National Lottery success for the county following confirmation of that the €8.2m jackpot was won by a lotto player in Moneygall on Saturday night.

The Hand to Hand Clash game winner initially thought he had won €20,000 but "unveiled the x4 feature and realised I had won €80,000".

“I was playing the online game and initially thought I had won €20,000, which I was over the moon with.

"My partner thought something was wrong with me, I was speechless and didn’t know what to say. I couldn’t find the words to tell him what had happened!

"I have a home renovations list as long as my arm, so that’s how I hope to spend my prize," the Offaly online winner said.
