Two GAA venues to host Adam Mangan Memorial Finals

The annual Adam Mangan memorial tournament reaches its conclusion this bank holiday weekend with the final series of games taking place on Saturday, August 1.

The tournament, which has become the main competition for inter-county U15 football teams from all over Ireland, is named after former Offaly underage star Adam Mangan, who passed away in October 2015 from injuries sustained in a farming accident at his home in Kilclonfert.

The finals take place on Saturday, August 1, with the county hosting three games across two venues.

Three games will take place at two venues in the county with a third and fourth place play-off between Offaly and Meath Green in Kilclonfert GAA starting proceedings at 10.30am.

Daingean GAA will host the shield final between Galway and Louth at 11am.

Kilclonfert GAA will host the showpiece fixture, the cup final, featuring Meath and Laois, at 1pm.

In a social media post, Offaly GAA said it was looking forward to "welcoming all players, coaches, families and supporters for a fantastic day of football as we celebrate Adam’s legacy".
