Unsettled weather ahead for bank holiday weekend

Met Éireann has forecasted rain and drizzle across the bank holiday weekend during humid conditions.

Friday will be a bright day with sunny spells.

Scattered showers in the west and north at first will spread elsewhere through the day, with the odd sharp shower possible in Ulster.

Highest temperatures of 15 to 21 degrees, warmest in the south and southeast.

Saturday will be mostly dry with isolated light showers and sunny spells, turning hazier through the afternoon and evening.

Highest temperatures of 16 to 22 degrees, coolest in the northwest, in a light to moderate westerly breeze.

Sunday will be a cloudy day with outbreaks of light rain and drizzle developing, most likely across the south and west. Northern and eastern areas may remain dry.

Highest temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees.

Bank Holiday Monday looks set to be cloudy with scattered outbreaks of rain. There is a slight chance of some heavier downpours. Becoming humid with highest temperatures of 17 to 23 degrees.

Tuesday looks to be humid and cloudy with widespread showers, with highest temperatures of 19 to 24 degrees
