New RTÉ podcast 'Unsolved' explores case of Fiona Pender

A new RTÉ podcast, titled 'Unsolved', will explore the case of missing Tullamore woman Fiona Pender.

Unsolved is a weekly true crime podcast, presented by crime journalist Barry Cummins and presenter Katja Mia.

The podcast will delve into unsolved Irish criminal cases, with a particular focus on murders and suspected murders, while also examining a wider range of unresolved crimes.

This week's episode, released on Wednesday (August 12) explores the case of 25-year-old Fiona Pender, who went missing from her Offaly home in August 1996, while she was seven months pregnant, preparing for the birth of her first child.

Unsolved aims to shine new light on these cases and to gather fresh information via their email tip line, unsolved@rte.ie.

The series brings gripping storytelling, experienced insight and a deep dive into some of the unsolved crimes that have captured the attention of the Irish public for decades.
