Local group to host 'Evening Exploring Croghan Hill' later this month

Croghan Development, in association with Offaly County Council, is inviting the public to an evening exploring the history and landscape of Croghan Hill on Thursday, August 20.

The event will begin at 7pm at Croghan Community Centre with a presentation on the history of Croghan Hill, followed by a guided walk to the summit.

Organisers say the walk is short but strenuous and includes uneven ground. Participants are advised to dress appropriately for the weather and wear suitable footwear.

Refreshments will be served at the community centre following the walk.
