Applications open to represent Offaly at next year's Rose of Tralee

Applications are now open to represent Offaly at the 2027 Rose of Tralee International Festival.

Details of how to apply has been released on the Rose of Tralee website, and to potentially follow in the footsteps of Killeigh native Nicole Heffernan, who was the Faithful County's last entrant, in 2025.

Jennifer Jones (neé Byrne), from Clonaderig, Ballinahown, on the Offaly-Westmeath border, won the Rose of Tralee, in 2017.

This year's Rose of Tralee winner was Westmeath Rose Caoilfhinn Ní Choiligh.

All applicants for the Rose of Tralee International Festival must be 18 years of age by January 1, 2027 and will not have reached their 30th birthday on or prior to September 1, 2027.

They must be female or identify as female, and be born in Ireland or be an Irish citizen, or of Irish origin by virtue of one of an ancestor having been born in Ireland.

Applicants must not have previously represented any Centre as a Rose in the Regional Festival or International Rose of Tralee Selection. For applicants residing outside Ireland, they must be living in the region they wish to represent for a minimum of one year.

All applicants must be available for Rose Selection events and, if selected, be available for International Festival events.

An entrant sponsorship fee of €300 is required for entrants based in Ireland with local Rose Centre's ready to provide more details.
