Birr community showcase to take place next month

A showcase of local community groups, clubs and activities happening in Birr has been announced for next month.

The Offaly Local Development Company is inviting people to attend the event at Dooly's Hotel, Birr on Tuesday, October 6 (5pm to 8pm), to 'meet local people and find out what's on offer and discover something new'.

The Development Company said the event is a chance to celebrate the local community and what it has to offer. No booking is required to attend and refreshments will be provided.

The aim of Offaly Local Development Company is to provide supports to communities within the county, and develop solutions to help them navigate cultural, demographic, economic, environmental, and social transitions.
