Tullamore College students complete barista training

The Tullamore College Catering and Tourism class completed their two-day Barista Training course provided by the LOETB. The wonderful instructor Imelda taught the students about the hospitality industry and they learned wonderful skills making double espressos, cappuccinos, lattes, flat whites, hot chocolates and americanos. The students will receive their certificates from completing the course. Thank you to Imelda for an excellent experience and all of the lovely coffees.

Basketball

The Tullamore College ladies had a great day of basketball against Mercy Ballymahon. The Cadette team came away with a fantastic win, while the Seniors put up a brilliant fight against a strong Ballymahon side. Thanks to Ms Brady and Ms Seery for training the teams.

Leaving Cert Geography Field Study

Mr Quirke's Leaving Cert Geography class of 2027 visited Glenbarrow in the Slieve Bloom mountains to complete their field study as part of the leaving cert course. The field study accounts for 20% of the marks allocated in the final examination. This year, they will investigate the role played by the processes of erosion and transportation in the formation of a V-Shaped Valley at Glenbarrow.

The fabulous weather on the day ensured students found the experience both educational and enjoyable. Students will begin the write up of their study in the coming months.
