Offaly Gardai issue witness appeals over two separate road collisions today

Witness appeals have been issued by Offaly Gardai in relation to two road collisions which occurred in the county today (Thursday).

The first of the incidents was an early-morning crash on the Ballycumber to Clara Road, at Bohernagrisna, between 6.45am and 7am.

In a witness appeal issued on social media, Gardai said this crash was "caused by dangerous overtaking on a bend".

A male driver (aged in his 40s) was taken to hospital for the treatment of injuries which Gardai say are currently "believed to be non-life threatening".

Officers are appealing "for any witnesses or drivers involved to come forward, or anyone with dashcam footage who may have been in the area".

Separately, Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to what's described as "a road traffic and criminal damage incident" that occurred near O’Connor Park, on the Arden Road in Tullamore, between the hours of 2.45pm and 3pm today.

Gardaí are again asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who has CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident, to get in contact.

In both cases, anyone with information is being asked to contact Tullamore Garda Station on: 057 9327600.
