Volunteer and parkrunner milestones and personal bests

It was a cold, fresh and windy morning on Saturday at Mountlucas parkrun. There were several volunteer and parkrunner milestones and personal bests (PBs) achieved.

Laura Pentony-McKeon is a regular participant and volunteer at Mountlucas parkrun. At the weekend she took on the role of Run Director for the event for the first time. The Run Director oversees the running of the event on the day. She did a fantastic job and Mountlucas Parkrun looks forward to seeing Laura back in the Run Director role again soon!

In another volunteering milestone, Lena Foran volunteered for the first time. Thanks so much to Lena for giving back to the Mountlucas parkrun community.

Frank Van Der Vinden completed his 25th parkrun. Frank, who is a member of Edenderry Athletics Club, started taking part in Mountlucas parkrun in August 2025 and has clocked up 25 parkruns at the event since then. Well done Frank!

There was a number PBs achieved at the event also by: Kieran Hayes, Mark Kelly, Jessica Mason, Olivia Lernihan, Lynda Hand, Mary Quinn, Noeleen Dempsey, Sarah O'Keeffe, Sarah O'Brien, Paula O'Shea, and Ger Bolger. Well done all!

Mountlucas parkrun takes place at BnM Mountlucas windfarm every Saturday morning at 9.30am sharp. There's something for everyone at Mountlucas parkrun whether you want to walk, run, volunteer or just meet new people.
