Local students make appearance during Tolu Makay's Tullamore tour stop
A number of local students appeared on stage with Tullamore singer-songwriter Tolu Makay, as she made a hometown stop on her 'People Still Cry in Summer' tour.
Tolü brought her new, cinematic, pop soul EP to Esker Arts on Friday, October 9.
Students performed with Tolu during her final song of the night ‘AYE’.
The tour began in Newbridge on October 1 and continues through to a Dublin date on November 26.
People Still Cry in Summer is a show about releasing grief and reclaiming your power, a reminder that you can become exactly who you want to be.
For Tolü, it's also a practice she's living in real time, the tour is entirely self-funded, with no label and no management behind it. Every sold-out room is proof of what an artist can build on her own terms.
