Tullamore school's All Ireland camogie finalists visited by Offaly football co-managers

The co-managers of the Offaly senior football team, Mickey Harte and Declan Kelly, passed on words of encouragement this week to the camogie team at Sacred Heart School in Tullamore as they continue their preparations for their All Ireland Camogie 'D' final next weekend.

Sacred Heart School will take on Scoil Mhuire agus Íde of Limerick in the decider on Saturday, February 21.

Declan Kelly and Mickey Harte - who knows a thing or two about winning All Irelands from his time in charge of the Tyrone footballers - visited the school's camogie players and management after training on Wednesday.

In a social media post, the school thanked the duo for taking time out to meet with the young players.

"Your experience, passion and encouragement made such a positive impact on all of us. It's really inspiring to have leaders of your calibre share your insights and support, we truly appreciate it," said Sacred Heart School.

"Thank you again for your time and for being such great role models for our players!"

Sacred Heart School advanced to the final thanks to a 12-point win over High Cross Tuam, in Ballinamere, on February 7.

The school is urging everyone to get behind the team ahead of the big game on February 21.
